Whether you're browsing TikTok on your computer, Android, or iPhone, this wikiHow guide will teach you how to use simple free tools to find a TikTok sound. you some tips and tricks to use so you can find the name or full version of a song on TikTok.

Things You Should Know

  • Music identification tools like Shazam, Genius, Musixmatch, and SoundHound are great TikTok sound finders, and they're all free to use.
  • If the apps don't work, you can check the bottom of the screen or search in "Discovery" for any music or audio that's in the TikTok library.
  • If that fails, you can also search the internet for your audio clip. Just search for any words from the clip that you remember.

Check the bottom of the TikTok video first.

  1. If the clip is a song taken from the TikTok library, you'll see the song name and artist listed below the video. However, if the poster did any audio editing, you'll see "Original Audio" instead. And that won't help.

    • If the audio is from the TikTok library, you'll see that information when you tap the audio source. The library will list the audio's name and who originally posted it.

    • If you have an Android, you can download Shazam from the Play Store.
    • Since Apple bought Shazam, this music recognition tool is built into iPhones and iPads! All you need to do is open Control Center, tap the Shazam button, then flip back to TikTok to get the audio from that video! Alternatively, you can say "Hey Siri, what's playing?"
    • If Music Recognition is not in your Control Center, add it by going to Settings > Control Center > Add Music Recognition. Using this requires iOS 14.2 or later.[1]

    On your Home page, tap the looking glass icon at the top right hand corner. Search for “viral sounds” and the app will show you the current trending sounds. You can also tap the “Sounds” tab for a list that you can use.
