Discount Lift Tickets

The easiest way to save money on lift tickets? Purchase in advance. On average, guests save 30 percent on lift tickets (at most resorts) by purchasing them in advance through the resort website. Ski and board during the week — instead of weekends or holidays — to avoid crowds and get an even better price.

Alta: Save with online rates for peak and non-peak day passes and discounted deals for afternoon ski sessions (12:30-4:30 p.m. or 2:30-4:30 p.m).

Beaver Mountain: Discounted tickets are available for seniors age 70 and up, kids under 11 and active, reserve, retired and veteran military service members. The All-Day Surface Lift pass is excellent for first-time skiers/beginners and provides unlimited access to two lifts for a full day.

Brian Head: Night skiing and half-day tickets are available at a discounted rate. Night skiing hours are 4 p.m.-9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Half-day lift ticket hours are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4 p.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on weekends.

Brighton: Discounted lift tickets are available for half-day, twilight and night skiing. Additional discounts are available for active military service members. Kids 10 and under can ski and ride free with a pass-holding/paying adult.

Cherry Peak: Discounted rates are available for half-day skiing and night skiing. Children under five ski/ride for free and student discounts are available with a valid school photo ID.

Deer Valley: Discounted lift ticket rates are available for afternoon half-day skiing. Seniors over 65, children (ages five to 12) and tots (four and under) receive discounted rates. A 25% discount is available for active, reserve or retired military personnel with a valid ID. Beginner-level skiers of all ages can purchase single-day tickets for as low as $65.

Eagle Point: Discounted rates are available for youth (ages seven to 17) and seniors (65 and up). Military discounts of 15% are available with proper identification.

Nordic Valley: Purchase tickets as low as $19 if you visit the resort on an off-peak weekday.

Park City: Discounted lift tickets are available for weekday, off-peak skiing. Additional discounts are available for kids (five to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Bundle lift tickets and lodging to get 15% off and maximize your savings.

Powder Mountain: Save $25 on day and night tickets by purchasing them online in advance. A 35% day ticket discount is available for active duty, guard, reserve or retired service members and their dependents. Children under six and adults over 75 receive free ride tickets.

Snowbasin: Save $20 on single or multi-day lift tickets when you buy online a week in advance or $10 by purchasing one day in advance. Discounts are available for youth (ages five to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Kids four and under are free with a paying adult. First-timer? Snowbasin’s Learn & Earn program offers three lift tickets, three lessons, season-long rental equipment and a season pass for the remainder of the season upon program completion for $749.

Snowbird: Purchase your full/half-day lift tickets in advance for the best available rate. Discounted tickets are available for youth (seven to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Children under six are free with a paying adult. Guests who visit with a season pass holder can use the friends & family discount.

Solitude Ski Resort: Purchase tickets online for anywhere from $10 to $30 off. Discounts are available online for youth (ages five to seven), juniors (ages eight to 12) and seniors (65 and up). Beginner tickets, night skiing tickets and military discounts are only available at the ticket window.

Sundance: Discounted lift tickets are available for afternoon half-day or night-only skiing. Discounts are also available for kids in the beginner area (age six and up) and seniors (age 65 and up). Kids five and under ski and ride free.

Woodward Park City: All-day lift tickets for adults (ages six and up) range from $40 to $70 depending on the day of the week/peak season. All Access Passes for kids under six range from $20 to $35, and they include indoor and lift access. All-access passes (includes ski lift, indoor hub and tubing) are also available at great rates for adults and kids.

Skiing and snowboarding can get spendy. But that doesn’t have to keep you from enjoying your favorite sport. With variousmulti-mountain passes available in Utah, here are some options that will give you the best bang for your buck. Tip: Save even more on some passes when you purchase extra early — think spring.

Salt LakeSki Super Pass: Want direct-to-lift access to Salt Lake County’s world-class ski resorts? The Salt Lake Ski Super Pass is an RFID card with discounted lift tickets, public transit fare and rental discounts to Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude.

Alta-Bird Season Pass:The Alta-Bird pass provides unlimited access to Snowbird and Alta, with discounts on Alta chairlift access and no blackout dates.

Indy Pass: Provides access to Utah’s “independent” resorts: Powder Mountain, Beaver Mountain and Eagle Point Resort. The Indy Pass also includes ski day options at 180+ resorts across the United States, Canada and Japan.

Power Pass:Power Passes provide access to Brian Head Resort and Nordic Valley in Utah, and six partner resorts in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

Yeti Pass: Experience Utah from the Bear River Mountains to the Red Rocks in Southern Utah. The Yeti Pass gives you one day at each of Utah’s 15 world-class ski resorts. This pass is perfect for parents with kids in the 4th, 5th and 6th-grade ski program. (See below.)

Ikon Pass: The ultimate ski pass, especially for those who travel. The IKON Pass provides access to 47 resorts across the globe. It offers unlimited days at Solitude, seven days at Deer Valley, Brighton and Snowbasin and seven shared days between Alta and Snowbird.

Epic Pass: Available for resorts throughout the United States, Canada and internationally. You can use your Epic Pass at Park City Mountain Resorts.

Reciprocal Pass: Purchase a season pass to Brian Head, Sundance or Beaver Mountain and receive three free ski days at partner resorts.

Mountain Collective:The pass offers access to 24 resorts internationally, ranging from Banff Sunshine in Canada, Mt. Buller in Australia, Chamonix in France and Utah’s own Alta, Snowbasin and Snowbird.

Kids and Family Passes

Need ski passes for the whole family? There are plenty of great packages for families and kids at Utah’s resorts.

Snowbird's Kids Freeloader Pass:Purchase a qualifying Summit Adult, Senior or Military Pass and receive one Kids Freeloader Pass with unlimited access to Snowbird for kids 18 & under.

Brighton Family Packaging: Family Packaging allows you to bundle passes for a discounted rate. Participants must live in the same house and the group must have at least one adult and one child/youth. You can bundle this with a Brighton Unlimited Pass or Brighton Platinum Pass.

Power Kids Pass: Kids 12 and under can receive a free Power Kids season pass for unlimited skiing and riding at all Power Pass resorts, including Utah’s Brian Head and Nordic Valley.

Epic SchoolKids:The Epic SchoolKids Utah Pack provides five free days of skiing and riding at Park City.

Ski Utah’s 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Passport:For just $69, 4th, 5th and 6th graders nationwide receive 45 ski and snowboard days at all 15 Utah ski resorts. Price increases to $89 after December 1.

Ski Shop Discounts

Locals typically stop at ski and recreation stores — even grocery stores — in the Salt Lake Valley for discount lift tix (and coffee) on their way up the mountain.

Ski ‘N See Ski & Snowboard: Stop in at one of 14 retail locations to purchase the Salt Lake Ski Super Pass for Alta, Brighton, Snowbird or Solitude. Individual discount passes are available for Brighton and Solitude.

AJ Motion Sports: Discount lift tickets are available for Alta, Brighton, Solitude and Snowbird at this ski shop in Sandy, Utah.
